Cheritz: Mystic Messenger (*note: Spoilers)

So i finished playing Mystic Messenger LOL i completed the game entirely for free. i know a lot of my friends spent money on hourglass, etc. but i didn't & how did i get so much hourglass? a glitch lol... anyways, this will be my full review on each route i played.. which is everyone except jaehee, because idk i didn't feel like playing it honestly? she's a nice character, but i was told majority of the route was her fangirling over zen.. so i'm like umm ok.. so yeah here we go! the order i played was: Zen > Yoosung > Jumin > Saeyoung

-

prolouge: you've downloaded an app, you're lead to an apartment by an unknown character & now you've started chatting with these 5 (+V so 6 i guess, but he doesn't have his own route) characters & you're planning a charity party & now you're going to delve deeper into the stories as it unfolds on who is unknown, what really happened to Rika (the one who started this charity party RFA, yoosung's cousin, &V's girlfriend) & who is the mint eye/magenta. so yeah let's go~

Zen:
ah, this was a nice route to start off. like yes, he's into his looks, but the story is deeper which you'll see going through all the routes that the story is like ah i didn't expect it to be so sad. anyways long story short his childhood was sad, thus he's the way he is & has worked hard to become an actor cursed with good looks lololol. it was a nice route cause he really falls in love with the MC & he's super sweet & caring & literally even comes saves you from unknown. with all the drama in his route he still stays by your side type thing. overall, it's a nice route to start off with cause it's just ah such feels being loved so much by zen~ LOL & just going through his story of how their relationship grows.

Yoosung:
literally "i'm not rika" boi got some cousin issues, like he compares you to his cousin but you have to seriously remind him you're not rika & you're not replacing her & that you're your own person type thing to get the happy ending. yoosung is really relatable honestly with my age group (i'm 21) with the whole idk what i'm doing with my life & why am i even in college what's the point. you get that from yoosung's route & through the route he struggles with that & his cousin issues. in the end, if ya get the happy ending all is good, his growth, he's better himself because of MC & yeah, honestly whenever he brought up not knowing what to do with his life etc. i'm like damn too relatable game getting too real.

Jumin: I LOVE JUMIN HAN!!!! ok so he's my favorite, like idk i just love him so much?? he's my type??? like he's the type i'd pick in other otome games usually, like you'd think he's the cold tsundere or something but he's actually really thoughtful & caring & omg when him & MC get close ;__; MY FEELS. when you get deeper into the story you really get the feel that even though he's rich & has everything he could want, he has a lot of internal issues, which all the characters have honestly & his love for his cat is just his only way he knew how to express it towards something till he met MC. like when his cat goes missing it was understandable he was worried about MC leaving him too. if ya get the good end then ya know all is good he's gonna just let the world know his love for you. bad end, you want him to lock you up forever like in a cage LOLOL LIKE THE OTHER BAD ENDS WERE BAD FOR THE CHARACTER, THIS ONE NOTHING REALLY BAD HAPPENED TO JUMIN.. HE HAS YOU, YOU'RE IN LOVE.. YOU THE MC WANT THIS??? LOLOL but yeah i loved his character so much i got all this ends pretty much harhar~

Saeyoung/THE MAIN STORY: *cracks my knuckles* okay here we go biggest spoiler his story pretty much. SO 707 is this fun character you're having fun convos with, but then he's worried about this whole hacker thing so then jokes aside things get serious, saeyoung wants to find him to make sure you're safe. guess what, there's a bomb in the apartment your character is stuck in. saeyoung has issues with his agency because he's a hacker/secret agent, but yolo he drives to you to make sure you're safe, runs into unknown who's actually his twin brother saeran. saeyoung doesn't wanna open up to you at this point, he starts telling you don't get close to him, he's dangerous, his life isn't worth it, yadadada cause really he's trying to hide himself from MC cause his life's really dark than how he seemed from the chats in all the other characters route's he was more fun & weird.

so to quickly summarize, the twins had a bad childhood growing up, V got saeyoung to leave & become a secret agent in promising he'd take care of saeran for him with rika, which they didn't really.. cause rika is bat shit psycho.. like she's got depression/anxiety/split personality, she's really not mentally stable.. which she then uses saeran to abuse mentally, join her cult she's making up to later take down her own group RFA, because yo she's crazy.. but V loves her so much so he'd honestly do anything for her & saeran is a weak soul in general unlike his brother so he was easily taken advantage of ):

so! saeyoung & mc crack down on the case, they open a drawer in the apartment which had all that mint eye stuff & so they knew something was up, they can't trust V! they pretty much make up & MC lets saeyoung know how much she loves him & that she'll stay by his side no matter what, you know emotional heavy stuff & he's getting emotional too & thanking her for being by his side & that they'll get through this together to save his brother. they go to the headquarters, the twins fight yadadada V showed up im going to honestly skim over all these other pointless details now & jump to the end pretty much now. so they all end up back at the headquarters after some random in between stuff happened, they are captured rika is shown, she's still alive, everyone thought she killed herself cause V said so, but really he was just hiding that fact she's been doing this crazy shit because he loves her but also wanted to protect everyone in the RFA about it. crazy saeran shoots V thinking it's his fault that Rika wants saeyoung to join their cult, cause saeran hates his brother bc of all the brainwashing & shit thinking his brother abandoned him so he doesn't want anything to do with him so hearing his "savior" say so is literally messing him up. Jumin actually found them all & had his security rush in to save everyone. it jumps to V's funeral, which was sad cause honestly V cared so much for everyone.. sad he had to die that way honestly, wish he didn't cause he deserved better LOL saeran is in hospital, rika doesn't talk anymore & everyone's mourning V's death.

saeran lashes out at saeyoung & everyone, he just wants to stare up at the sky & feel free. honestly i feel really bad for saeran, he went through sooo much shit he didn't deserve at all to go through & it's so understandable why he's so messed up now. anyways, saeyoung takes his brother back to his house because he doesn't want saeran to end up in the psych ward & not be allowed out anymore ever. saeran tried to kill saeyoung but couldn't after all this emotional stuff like honestly even me typing this up, you really have to play to feel & see how emotional shit gets. so he just really wants to trust his brother deep but internally he's still in so much pain from all the trauma. saeyoung comforts him & just really wants them to be the happy twins they were before when they were younger together. you get this really good CG of them back to back & you really get the feel like everyone's just emotionally tired, but they'll make it through this together. saeyoung called MC & told her how he wouldn't have been able to get through all this without having someone like her love him & be by his side. then a chat pops up & he's telling everyone to come over to his house because he's gonna propose to MC & wants everyone to meet saeran pretty much. they take a family photo & that's where you get the last CG with everyone in it, including saeran! *which i have included up there!

overall: this was a fun game, i'm thankful i got to play & pretty much complete it entirely for free. the story line was really deeper than i had expected & it was refreshing to read something different than usual otome game storylines. if they do add on more stories, i'd like to see how they could do that, because it kinda felt like okay it's done one shot through type thing so i'd be impressed if it does add on or if hopefully cheritz makes more games, their customer service is great & they reply to everyone really fast & yeah that impressed me too. i'd rate this game a 8.5/10 because the game style was cool & different being like a chat box is really unique & the story delved deeper which each character to unfold to the main story, i'm glad i played the characters in the recommended order.
