Garlic & Chives

Garlic & Chives - Garden Grove, OC
so i didn't know till today when my parents asked to have brunch with me but this new restaurant opened up in garden grove called Garlic&Chives, it's a very casual vietnamese shop. my parents haven't eaten here prior to this time with me either, so we had no idea what to order really.. the menu is a bit could look better.. is how i will state it, but the food from the other options sounded interesting to try, they pretty much had all the basic vietnamese foods they most vietnamese restaurants have. we got: lamb, salmon belly, corn, shaken beef, sausage&eggs on sweet rice, crab & garlic noodles. the lamb was really good, that was probably my favorite item. everything else was good, but not like amazing wow, it felt like any other vietnamese dish is how the other items tasted, which isn't bad. it was also all really cheap everything is under $20, most items are about like $7. would i go back? for the lamb & to try other things, probably. presentation on the food was good too & i also liked my soda chanh (soda lemonade) overall rating for me would be ✮✮✮☆☆ 3/5.

KRAPSYK GOES TO: Las Vegas 1/18-1/20

So this time i went to vegas i got to stay @ bellagio's penthouse suites~ it was really big, about 5 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, living room, dining room & bar. As always i'm very thankful to get to stay in penthouse suites/skyloft suites & such^^

Sage @ the Aria Hotel
Of course my first night in vegas i had to eat at my favorite restaurant Sage @ the Aria hotel. The food as usual was amazing. i ordered all my favorite & this time around i decided to try the bacon wrapped pork loins & the foie gras candy bars, which was like a hella taste like expensive snicker bar. overall, the food here is always consistently amazing. i truly cannot describe how amazing the food is, because it's something you seriously need to experience for yourself~ service as always is attentive & they're so nice when it comes to asking "what would you recommend?" i forever love the food here.

Prime @ the Bellagio hotel
For my second night in vegas, i decided to have an "early birthday dinner" (my birthday is feb.8th). i didn't think i could find restaurants to top my favorite sage, but i actually did & it was prime. the atmosphere is very nice & fancy is exactly how i would describe it. note, i ate alone both nights, long story, but at this restaurant i had such a nice romantic view of the water show, it truly is a nice romantic place. my date was my food obviously. the beef tartare was amazing.. forsure my favorite place now when it comes to raw meat~! the truffle mashed potatoes was seriously a taste you must try, it was literally amazing.. the ahi tuna melts in my mouth & had a nice tempura like texture on the outside wrapping it. since i told them i was celebrating my birthday, i got a free creme brûlée~! this restaurant is now my current number 1 instead of sage when it comes to favorites in vegas right now.

Here's some bonus pics of some food & stuff i saw before i left Las Vegas & headed home.
'til next time~! (◠‿◠✿)

CES 2015

So, i went to CES 2015, which is the consumer electronic show, where big companies like samsung, sony, polaroid, kodak, canon, etc.. showcase what's up & coming for their latest electronic products & such. i was lucky to be able to go this year & check stuff out. i got a lot of cute key chains & such & also got to meet 50cent who is like my childhood rap star~! haha it was nice to experience this, i felt like a cool company person. i look forward to seeing some products release soon & cars are such. it was like being in tomorrowland of disneyland, happening today. the future really is happening so fast. i would type out more but i am honestly so tired from walking around the convention & such, there also isn't much to say, my pictures should be self explanatory~ much fun, such wow.

& so begins 2015...

this strange chapter in my life is now beginning. strange because i am going to be 20 years old next month. this year i am 20 years old. i have been alive for 2 decades. in my 20 years of living, i feel like this strange feeling of this is the end. the end of feeling like a kid. i have to grow up now, i have to go figure out what i want to do in this life. all my childhood dreams are now dead. i have this overwhelming feeling of stress because i still have no idea what it is i want to do. i don't know where to start, i seriously have absolutely no idea what path it is i am looking to go for. i seriously wish i had an absolute idea of what i should be doing, but i absolutely do not know. so here's to the year of figuring out where my life will begin. let's remember this post & see where i'm at december 31st 2015. i look forward to seeing what "destiny" or "fate" my life may have already been written out for me this year & so begins 2015...
