佛光山西來寺 Hsi Lai Temple / Ramen / Half&Half 伴伴堂

Went around the Hacienda/Rowland Heights area with my mom today. visited the Hsi Lai temple, the view is really nice. bought dharma words for $1 to donate to the temple. then went to ramen yukino ya, the ramen there was okay.. like it was more flavorful than most places in OC i've been to, but my favorite in OC is still Ramen Yamadaya in costa mesa tbh. favorite ramen of all time would have to be kahoo in san jose or some random ramen shop i went to in japan lol somewhere in shibuya idk tbh because the name was all in japanese LOL IT WAS LITERALLY A HOLE IN THE WALL. anyways, the service sucked, only one lady works as the waitress.. she hella lags or forgets to bring out stuff.. yeah.. it's an okay place. had to stop by half&half on the way home of course, i love the mango oolong tea there, i used to get the #1 ice milk tea with pudding, caramel & boba, but i got sick of sugary drinks, so every time i go to half&half i've been getting this mango oolong tea.

✮✮✮☆☆ 2.5/5 stars for the ramen place for being ok!

i'm a huge fan of BTS, so of course when their concert had merch i had to get some! i didn't get all of the merch, i got everything except the t-shirt, light stick & mask ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ anyways, they look sooo good in the pictures, the quality is so nice, like so much fangirl feels i had getting this in the mail today, i literally wanted to cry lol. i'm really thankful for my dad for paying for this merch. i usually pay for merch myself, but this was my early christmas gift. i love bts & will support them for as long as i can probably? lol if you can get your hands on their red bullet goods, i highly recommend you do if you're a fan of bangtan~ it's so worth adding to your collection! or what my friends call my shrine.

Bananas & Coconuts

i got this banana dress on inuinu for around $30. it's free size, it's really stretchy, i actually feel like sewing in the top half to be a bit tighter & more form fitting(?) but yeah it's nice & comfy~ a bit sheer, so if you get one, remember to wear a tank top under! unless you want to be sexy.. then.. i guess..? LOL i also got a coconut today for $1, it was really refreshing & yeah i thought it was random cool pic to take drinking out of a coconut. bought at 99 ranch chinese supermarket. hope everyone had a nice sunday!

Duck House 鹿鼎记

So today i went to try the duck house 鹿鼎记. it was really good, i didn't just have these three items which are peking duck, unagi on sticky rice & passion fruit jelly. i had kung pao chicken & pork chops also~ it was really good, probably the most unique taste i've had for chinese food, it wasn't too oily & it didn't make me feel sluggish afterwards. the unagi on top of sticky rice is what i recommend the most, it was really good fresh, i wouldn't recommend it as leftovers though, i've had it as a left over a few days before & it didn't taste that great, the eel still tasted good though! Today in the mail i got my Nohant Love City Seoul Tote Bag & BTS Official Bandana!

the bag is really sturdy & big. the bottom has something inside that keeps the bottom flat & not flimsy. i really like the design & it's a nice fashionable tote. they replace some of the english alphabet letters with korean alphabet letters & i thought that was really unique & cool. reminds me of when i was in south korea~ very much worth $40

BTS Official Bandana

i didn't expect the bandana to be such nice quality. i actually really expected a cheap quality, but it's really nice! i am actually tying it to my tote bag to hang off of as a fashion accessory. it's really nice, i just needed it since we all know i collect bts merch~ haha as a bts fan, this was very worth my $20.

The Donuttery

I really like the "goldie lox" at the donuttery, but i really prefer it without the pepper & all that stuff, like i really like it plain.. just salmon, cream cheese & bagel (garlic sometimes). the donuts at the donuttery are really good too, they're fresh & hella cheap!~ if you're near the huntington beach i recommend this donut place the most! it's my favorite place to go for a filling bagel, one piece can already keep me full, i usually share the 2nd piece with a friend. i give this place a 3.4/5. it's not wow amazing, but it's good okay~!

The Crab Cooker

So for lunch today i went to the crab cooker, which i haven't gone there in awhile. I ordered oysters, manhattan clam chowder & crab cakes. What i love about this place is that it's like hella legit american seafood. the oysters taste fresh outta the ocean next door, the crab cakes are filled with real crab & is really nicely crispy & the chowder is consistently always good every time i go. i really like seafood, so this is one of my favorite places~ also they have a mailbox with postcards of their store on it you can write a quick postcard to someone, drop it in their mailbox & they'll mail it out for you for free! so i mailed some to friends out of my area. i also got a tshirt because my brother got one here last time & it's really nice soft quality. overall, you should check this place out for some fresh seafood. *don't forget to grab some free taffy on the way in & out~
